Judy Smith, a daughter George and Barbara of Covington, Ky., was married Saturday, Sept. 21 to Joe Jones, a son of Lisa and Robert Jones of Villanova, Pa.

The pair met at the 2011 wedding of a mutual friend in Cincinnati and were engaged one year later.

The Rev. David Price performed the ceremony at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral Cincinnati.

The bride is a 29-year-old interior decorator in Cincinnati. She graduated from Ohio University.

Her father was an architectural designer in Palm Beach and Mill Neck, N.Y. Her mother is a real estate broker in the Palm Beach office of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The 30-year-old bridegroom is a founder and a principal at Red Sky Capital, a real estate developer in Philadelphia. He graduated from Cornell.

His mother is the director of grant management at Chester County Fund for Women and Girls in West Chester, Pa. His father is the owner and president of the American Carbide Saw Company, an industrial tooling manufacturer in Hatboro, Pa.

Rita Cruz, a daughter of Jose and Marta Cruz of West Chester, is engaged to Holger Schulz, a son of Hans and Bertha Schulz of Frankfort, Germany.

The pair met at the Cincinnati gym where they both work out.

Cruz, 33, is a teacher in the Sycamore School District, and Schulz is an account manager at Procter & Gamble.

Schulz moved to Cincinnati to work with P&G and the couple plan to make their home here.
