Happy May, Happy Tuesday and Happy National Teacher Day!

-So I have a new guilty pleasure TV show – America's Worst Tattoos. It's fantastic. The choices people make sometimes floor me. One guy had the logo for Insane Clown Posse tattooed on his leg (yep, it lasted longer than the band did), and he wanted it covered up. So what was his brilliant idea? Cover it with a Transformers tattoo that was easily four times as big. Yes, that was a much wiser decision.

Still, though, I find I can't turn it off.

-I woke up this morning to a post-it note that read: "Fred Couples World Gold HoF – best speech ever."

To be clear, my husband doesn't generally leave me notes. We aren't those people. So when I saw this, I knew I had to find the speech. That, and I love me some Freddie Couples. No golf glove, no spikes, no pretense.

But the interwebs have failed me. I can't find video of his speech anywhere -- yet – but I'm going to keep searching.

-My kids are super into the boy band One Direction. As evidence, I am currently planning a One Direction-themed birthday party. So this weekend, I decided to school the little ones on the history of the genre (yes, I've made that leap). Sure, the 60s and 70s had their fare share of bands made up of boys, but the 90s were the true hey-day of true boy bands.

So we hit up YouTube for a bunch of *NSYNC, New Kids and Backstreet Boys videos. Both girls were remarkably mesmerized.

What surprised them most was that I actually listened to "cool" music when I was younger. Their words. Because what's cooler than this video ? I defy you to get that song out of your head now.

Plus, we all had our favorites. For me it was Joey, Joey and Nick respectively.

That said, I maintain Justin Timberlake might be the most talented man of our generations. And this was after I listened to "Suit and Tie" (meh).

My kids, though, were shocked that JT wasn't always as suave as he is now – that his transformation went from this to this . And it is remarkable.
