Cincinnati-based Tom+Chee to open locations in 4 new locations in U.S.

CINCINNATI -- Hot on the heels of their recent New Jersey expansion, Cincinnati-based Tom+Chee announced they are welcoming four new franchisees throughout the U.S.

Four new locations to open are in Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, Kansas City, MO, and Fort Worth, TX.  This expansion adds four new states to their network of grilled cheese and tomato soup shops that already includes Ohio, Kentucky, and New Jersey. No opening dates have been set at this time.

"We're very excited about this new group of franchisees," said Jenn Quackenbush, head of operations for Tom+Chee World Wide.  "They're all very enthusiastic about the brand and the concept."

The success of the Cincinnati-based chain has increased since their appearance on ABC's hit show "Shark Tank" in May. Corey Ward, co-founder of Tom+Chee, stated that "Since appearing on the season finale of the show, we've received over 9,000 requests for franchise information."  

Their franchise operations in New Jersey have been featured as the centerpiece of the weekly segment, 'Franchise Fridays,' on Fox Business network's "MONEY with Melissa Francis." 

Tom+Chee was founded by restaurant chef Trew Quackenbush and designer Corey Ward, along with their wives Jenny and Jenn. Originally started as a food booth on Fountain Square in 2009, Tom+Chee's rapid success let to the opening of their first brick and mortar location in 2010.  In 2011 they opened their northern Kentucky shop and in 2012 they opened a third location, in downtown Cincinnati.
