CINCINNATI - A wounded Boston Marathon victim is scheduled to appear on "Dancing with the Stars."
On Thursday's episode of DWTS, host Tom Bergeron announced that injured dancer Adrianne Haslet-Davis, who lost her left foot in the Boston bombings, will be a part of next weeks show.
"We were all very moved by her inspirational outlook," Bergeron said on the show. "We'll tell you how we hope to be part of her recovery."
Haslet-Davis told the Boston Herald columnist Peter Gelzinis in a Monday front-page story that she would dance again and even run the marathon.
"Dancing is my life," Haslet-Davis told Gelzinis. "Yeah, having my foot blown off, that really sucks. But I can't wallow in woe is me."
Haslet-Davis is a 32-year-old dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Studio, according to the Boston Herald. She suffered the injury while watching the marathon in front of the Forum restaurant with her husband, Air Force Capt. Adam Davis.
