Pregnant woman in labor robbed at gunpoint in Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Police arrested two men after they robbed a pregnant woman in labor at gunpoint in Annapolis, Maryland.

Devery Kelley 24, and Cornell Robinson 44, were arrested and charged with armed robbery.

According to police, the pair robbed the pregnant woman and her male companion around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, the victims pointed out the robbers as they fled in a stolen car.

Police followed the suspects as they abandoned the car and fled on foot. After a brief chase, both men were apprehended. Police recovered a handgun the suspects threw from the car.

The pregnant woman, who was in labor before the robbery, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center to give birth.
