CINCINNATI -- Shadow puppetry has come a long way since children first combined back lighting, a white sheet and some imaginative hands.

Madcap is rekindling the Stravinsky ballet fairy tale for two weekends of local performances and subsequent touring. In this video, from the company's Westwood warehouse, we learn about the complexities of modern shadow puppetry from both sides of the screen.
