CINCINNATI -- The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati presents the world-premiere production of 'The Day Before Christmas' opening at the Taft Theatre on Dec. 6.
The show, supported by Macy's, will be directed by TCTC's Angela Powell Walker, with story by Ken Jones, music by Jamey Strawn and lyrics by Christine Jones.
Jones, Strawn and Jones have worked together on 'Burgertown,' 'CHURCH GIRLS,' and 'Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale.'
The show is based around a flurry of activity at the North Pole. Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with elves and reindeer prepare for Christmas night. Santa's team seems ready, or at least they think they are before Jack Frost decides to try and stop Christmas.
Q102 and the Children's Theatre will be collecting items for St. Joseph Orphamage at all performances. Families are encouraged to bring a new or unwrapped item.
Ticket prices vary between $7 and $25. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 513-569-8080 ext. 10 or by visiting the website.
Brunch with Santa, at the Children's Theatre in the Taft Ballroom, will be on Dec. 14 beginning at 11:30 a.m. Children can visit with Santa during this time. Tickets are $50, including a ticket to the show or $35 for brunch only. Call the above number for tickets.
