'Hate Crimes in the Heartland' focuses on Tulsa

Rachel Lyon isn't among the most renown documentary filmmakers of our time, but she’s certainly among the more prolific. Lyon, who lives in Wilder, Ky., has produced 65 documentaries, most of them for television, over more than three decades. Her latest, “Hate Crimes in the Heartland,” probes racial connections between two grisly episodes in the history of Tulsa, Okla.
