CINCINNATI -- “Inconceivable,” a film starring Nicolas Cage and Faye Dunaway, will begin shooting in the Queen City this October, according to Film Cincinnati.

Emmett/Furla is producing the movie, which is about a woman fleeing her abusive past who raises suspicions by moving to a new town. Nicky Whelan will portray that woman. The film also will star Gina Gershon and Eva Marie of WWE fame.

“Inconceivable” will be the third of five movies Film Cincinnati executive director Kristen Erwin Schlotmann said would shoot in Cincinnati by year’s end.

Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is currently shooting “The Killing of a Sacred Deer,” a thriller starring Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman, in the Queen City. Ellen Page and Kate Mara are in town shooting the romantic drama “Mercy,” directed by Israeli filmmaker Tali Shalom Ezer.

“Mercy” is also repeat business for Killer Films. The production company previously filmed “Carol,”“A Kind of Murder” and “Goat” in Cincinnati in 2014. “Goat” was released to theaters in select cities on Sept. 23.

Wednesday's news leaves two other movies that will announce shoots in the Queen City by December.

This year will be a record-setting one for Film Cincinnati, which will have brought 10 major motion picture shoots to the region.

In August, Emmett/Furla wrapped filming on “The Life and Death of John Gotti,” a biopic starring John Travolta as the famed New York mob boss.

“Curvature,” "Girl from Compton" and two James Franco movies have either already been filmed or are currently being shot in the region as well.
