Oktoberfest season in Cincinnati is about to come to a close, but not before Newport claims one last hurrah with the Tri-State's Bavarian love affair. Celebrate the end of the summer the Cincinnati way — with steins full of beer, sauerkraut and sausage everything and grown men romping around in lederhosen, of course.
The Newport Oktoberfest promises to be the "most authentic Oktoberfest in the area," with live music, happy Bavarian dancing and maybe even a German-style wedding, all under huge fest tents sponsored by German breweries.
New this year is the Great American Beer Run, which canvasses four beer stops celebrating the Queen City's rich brewing history.
Free. Friday-Sunday. Riverboat Row, Newport on the Levee. oktoberfestnewport.com .
