CINCINNATI -- A University of Cincinnati graduate won a competition to have her mural painted on the side of a Downtown hotel.

Sara Cormier was among the 20 artists who submitted designs for a Flying Pig-themed mural. The project is a gift from Flying Pig Marathon founder Bob Coughlin and his wife, Jeanne, in association with Paycor and the marathon.

More than 14,000 votes were cast during the competition. Cormier's "Dream Big & Fly High," described as a "whimsical" take on the flying pig theme, got 2,072 votes.

The mural will go on the west side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, on the corner of Fifth and Elm streets, as part of ArtWorks' upcoming summer program.

Cormier, a Cincinnati native, is owner and Creative Director of Cormier Creative, where she designs full-time. She graduated from UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.

Cormier also went through ArtWorks CO.STARTERS, a nine-week business development course "which provides resources for artists to turn their passions into thriving businesses."
