Taft's Ale House, Maverick Chocolate team up for new beer, 'feastgiving'

CINCINNATI -- The brewers at Taft’s Ale House have a special Christmas present ready for local craft beer fans.

The Over-the-Rhine brewery is teaming up with Maverick Chocolate Company for two events in November.

The first will take place on Nov. 17 as Taft’s cans and releases it’s new “Liquid Advent Chocolate Brown Porter.”

This time Taft’s will be releasing a 16 oz. can to the public instead of its 12 oz. options.

The brewers said Liquid Advent is a taking on Maverick’s Fahrenheit 513 chocolate and is infused with chilies, star anise and cinnamon.

The beer will be canned that morning and available for purchase and on draft at 6 p.m. The cans will be sold in 4-packs for $11.99 exclusively at Taft’s Ale House.

A week after that on Nov. 24, Taft’s and Maverick will host a “Feastgiving” beer dinner and chocolate pairing event at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $50 and include a new four-course meal prepared specially for the feast. Each course will be paired with a Taft’s beer and Maverick chocolate. It will also include live music.

Space is limited to 24 people for the dinner. Tickets and more information are available at the event’s EventBrite page.

Taft’s and Maverick have teamed up before, most popularly on the Maverick Chocolate Porter that is made with cacao nibs.
