CINCINNATI – What better way to wash away those winter blues than with a giant party -- and a lot of beer?
MadTree Brewing will celebrate its third birthday with an event from noon to 1 a.m. Jan. 30. The Winter Bonanza Party will feature nearly 60 beers from MadTree and other breweries around the region. Local DJs and bands, including the Rumpke Mountain Boys, will perform throughout the day. Catch-A-Fire Café and food trucks such as Red Sesame Korean BBQ, Bones Burgers and C’est Cheese also will be there to serve food to the hungry masses.
“Before the brewery opened, we hosted an annual celebration in our backyards with friends over for big, delicious and warming craft beers,” said MadTree co-founder Kenny McNutt. “Once again we want to share the Winter Bonanza with everyone!”
Admission is free to the party, and beers will be $5 each. MadTree also will serve its new "Funk Series" of sour ales aged in wine and spirit barrels. Brewers will tap kegs from the "Trunk Series" of barrel-aged beers throughout the day, and guest breweries will tap limited-release beers each hour during the event.
