Cincinnati Reds hit home run with new craft beer bar, concession stands at Great American Ball Park

CINCINNATI -- Craft beer will be well represented when the Cincinnati Reds take to the field on Opening Day.

The team confirmed Tuesday that a new craft beer bar will be one of the newest features at Great American Ball Park.

The “Reds Brewery District” will be an 85-foot-long bar between sections 117 and 118 on the third base concourse.

It will include 60 taps featuring 23 different craft beers. The bar will also feature Anheuser-Busch beers such as Bud Light and Goose Island.

Several local brewers will be on tap at the bar. A dozen local beers from Christian Moerlein, MadTree, Blank Slate, 50 West, Rhinegeist, Mt. Carmel and Rivertown will be served. Team officials said new selections will rotate in throughout the season.

The Moerlein Lager House will also have two new concession stands in the stadium. Those stands will offer beers from several local craft brewers as well as 48 bottled beers. Those stands will be behind section 130 on the first base concourse and 113 on the third base concourse.

Christian Moerlein said its OTR Ale, Helles Lager and Zepplin Bavarian Pale Ale will be served at the new concession stands.

Earlier Tuesday, Queen City Fresh confirmed the craft beer lineup for the ball park.
