BELLEVUE, Ky. -- Collaboration between two longtime fixtures in the Cincinnati craft community has resulted in a beautiful new beer project.

The Party Source teamed up with the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company to create a new beer line specifically for the Bellevue-based retailer.

The “Beautiful View Beer Project” resulted in a new IPA designed for craft beer fans by people from “all aspects of the beer industry.”

Moerlein managers took cues from Danny Gold -- the lead buyer at The Party Source – and said they were eager to access his wealth of beer knowledge.

The name Beautiful View is a nod to the historic Bellevue neighborhood where The Party Source is based.

Moerlein Head Brewer Tom Hull described the beer as, “Straw to copper in color, with a pillowy-white head.  Citrus qualities dominate, ranging from grapefruit, to hints of lemon, to zesty orange.  Malt flavor is simple, with a light mouthfeel that carries the hops through to the finish.”

Beautiful View weighs in at 6.5 percent ABV and 65 IBUs.

The six-packs went on sale at The Party Source on Thursday. It will also be available on draft at the store’s “local only” crowler tap station.

“The beauty of a collaboration is that the sky is the limit; we look forward to working closely with Danny Gold and the Party Source team to create the next release in the Beautiful View Beer Project Series,” Hull said.

The two companies said fans should keep an eye to 2016 as there will be more beers coming from the collaboration. Beautiful View will evolve to include a variety of beer styles.
