CINCINNATI -- High winds are to blame for the cancelation of an annual holiday favorite.
Cincinnati Parks and Recreation officials said Balluminaria 2013 is canceled.
Organizers said balloons like calmer winds in the single digits, especially in smaller, confined areas such as Eden Park’s Mirror Lake.
Saturday’s forecast has the possibility of winds in excess of 20 mph, which are not safe for balloonists, staff or guests.
The event will not be rescheduled for 2013.
