Finding my wedding dress was easy! It’s finding the bridesmaid dresses that had me pulling my hair out.
I’ve worn some interesting dresses in past weddings, so I was determined to find great dresses!
Bridesmaid dresses
I started by letting my bridesmaids send me pictures and links to dresses they liked. That gave them too much freedom! So I went shopping with my mom. We went to Bridal & Formal, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, J. Crew, etc.
I tried on dozens of dresses. Then I realized I was making all of the wedding decisions. It was too much! So I delegated the task to my 'maids and waited until they found one I loved.
What’s next?
I trusted my bridesmaids to order the right dresses. But the groomsmen are a whole different story. Next week I’ll show you the ups and downs of picking a suit and share some tips on wrangling groomsmen.
