Dancing with the Stars Season 17 cast: Mason High School grad, Snooki, Leah Remini and more

The 17th season of “Dancing with the Stars” will include reality stars, a former NFL receiver an actress battling cancer and a local celebrity from Mason.

Twelve hopefuls were announced as competitors for the Mirrorball Trophy on "Good Morning America" Wednesday morning which included Brant Daugherty, a 2004 graduate of Mason High School. Daugherty is one of the stars of the ABC family drama "Pretty Little Liars."

Early Wednesday morning, Daugherty showed his excitement to be included on the show on his twitter page. He wrote, "Who saw Good Morning America today?! I'm thrilled to be a part of Dancing with the Stars this season."

"I couldn't be happier to be paired with @PetaMurgatroyd! She's an incredible dancer and I have so much respect for her #DWTS."

Here are the stars who will take to the dance floor:

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi – star of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and “Snooki and JWOWW”

Keyshawn Johnson – former NFL wide receiver and ESPN analyst

Valerie Harper – actress diagnosed with brain cancer

Brant Daugherty – star of ABC Family drama “Pretty Little Liars”

Christina Milian - Actor, singer, songwriter

Bill Nye – “The Science Guy”

Elizabeth Berkley – TV and movie actress known for role on “Saved by the Bell”

Corbin Bleu – former Disney star

Amber Riley – actress and singer who has starred on “Glee”

Bill Engvall – member of Blue Collar Comedy Group

Jack Osbourne – reality TV star of “The Osbournes”

Leah Remini – actress best known for role on “The King of Queens”
