CINCINNATI - Celebrate all things German this weekend at the annual Schutzenfest which is presented by the Kolping Society of Cincinnati.
The Catholic society was founded in Cincinnati in 1924. The group, which is composed of more than 800 members, hosts a variety of events throughout the year that honor German heritage.
This weekend's festival, located at 10235 Mills Road in Springfield Township, is a family-friendly event that will have live music, German-American food, entertainment for children, domestic and imported beer, and more.
Schutzenfest raises money for several Kolping Society programs in the Tri-State.
The event takes place this Friday from 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $3, children 16 and under are free.
