Compassion Fest raises funds for animal rescues

CINCINNATI - Compassion Fest raises money and awareness for animal rescue groups in the Tri-State.

Organized by the Three Sisters Pet Rescue, this carnival-like event has something for everyone from games and raffles to guest lectures and education booths.

There will be vendors selling cruelty-free products and live performances from Steve Burton Overdrive and Mystic Hips Bellydance. Pets rescued animals will also be available for adoption.

All proceeds benefit rescue groups in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The festival takes place on Saturday, May 25 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Clifton Plaza.

Pets from the Three Sisters Pet Rescue, Ohio Hound House, Rattie Tattie Rescue, Lickity Split Pet Transport and Friends of the Buffalo Trace Animals . The snakes of Mystic Hips will be present to educate and mingle.
