The Cincinnati Art Museum's wildly popular 2010 exhibit, "Wedded Perfection: Two Centuries of Wedding Gowns," showed more than 50 gowns from the late 18th century to modern day and spawned a book as well as a traveling exhibit. If you happened to miss that show or are interested in taking a look at some more matrimonial works of fabric art, visit the Hillforest Victorian House Museum in Aurora, Ind.

Their current exhibit, "A Century of Brides," features bridal gowns from 1850-1950 on display throughout the 1855 home, which has been decorated to reflect a wedding theme with flowers, cake, vintage photographs and more interspersed between period furnishings.

DETAILS: 1-5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday through November. $6; $3 ages 7-13. 213 Fifth St., Aurora, Ind., 812-926-0087, hillforest.org .
