Whether you’re into the polka, the chicken dance, the sauerkraut or the beer, Oktoberfest season in the Zinzinnati area is in full swing. 

Start the month of festivities off right with the 35th annual MainStrasse Village Oktoberfest for everything German.

The opening ceremony and official keg tapping is on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., but the celebration continues all weekend long with parades, music, dancing and plenty of beer. 

Don’t forget to bring your vintage MainStrasse Village stein for the Stein Strikes Back Contest — the oldest stein wins you $150 in MainStrasse gift certificates and bragging rights.
