Activist groups take aim at A&E's 'Neighbors with Benefits'
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two activist groups are taking aim at an A&E show centered on a Tri-State community.
The new show “Neighbors with Benefits ” is being shot in Warren County and not all residents are pleased.
The show is billed at an “inside look” at the swingers lifestyle -- where couples trade partners for sex to spice up their relationships.
The groups Citizens for Community Values and One Million Moms are speaking out against the show.
Group leaders said it glamorizes cheating and having affairs and makes a mockery of marriage.
"Why get married if you do not plan on being faithful? This immoral show belittles and makes a mockery of marriage," the organization wrote on its website.
The show focuses on Tony and Diana McCollister – a couple living in the Thornton Grove neighborhood just north of Maineville in Hamilton Township.
However, some are questioning how “real” this reality show is .
While a preview of the show claims that there are several swingers in the community, some sources claimed A&E brought in swingers and shot the show in a rental home in a different neighborhood.
The show is set to debut March 22 at 10 p.m.
