HEBRON, Ky. - Some100 flights were canceled Tuesday at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport as snow moved into the Tri-State and weather-caused cancelations at airports elsewhere added to problems.
Barbara Schempf, the airport’s director of public and government affairs, said some flights also were delayed 15 to 30 minutes.
Schempf urged travelers to contact their airline before leaving for the airport to check on the status of their flight since flight schedules can change quickly.
Airline contact information can be found at www.cvgairport.com .
While flights may have been canceled, Schempf said in a release that the airport's two primary north/south runways and the east/west runway remained open and operational.
Across the Southeast and up the East Coast, the weather was working havoc with flights to and from Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh and Washington, D.C. Those cancelations and delays compounded problems at the airport in Northern Kentucky.
