CINCINNATI - The first major winter storm of the season dumped more snow in parts of the Tri-State than was seen all of last winter.
And it did a number on roadways around the region.
AAA reports 550 calls for roadside assistance roughly in the I-275 loop Wednesday, their busiest Wednesday of the year.
Cincinnati road crews began pre-treating the city Tuesday night to get a head start on mother nature, but by mid-morning, the steady snowfall had created slush everywhere and tense moments for many.
The farther north, the worse the conditions, and dispatchers in Butler and Warren counties say they had responded to a combined 100 disabled vehicles by late Wednesday afternoon.
And it's not over yet. Slick conditions could develop early Thursday morning, causing more problems for the a.m. commute.
