CINCINNATI - More than 1,000 Tri-State Duke Energy customers were in the dark early Tuesday morning after strong winds and heavy rain came through the area overnight.
The number dwindled to less than 150 customers as of 10:30 a.m.
The most outages were in Boone County, Ky.. Other outages were reported in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio.
Strong wind gusts early Tuesday morning and showers spread across the region, according to the National Weather Service.
As a result of the weather, more than 3,200 residents lost power at one point with the majority living in Butler and Kenton counties.
