Many area schools were closed Wednesday, March 6, 2013, thanks to snowfall totals that ranged from 2.5 inches within the Interstate 275 loop to 7.5 inches in central Warren County, said National Weather Service Meteorologist Andrew Snyder.

Children took advantage of the snow day at Stanbery Park in Mt. Washington to sled, as their parents watched although a few did participate themselves.

At Perfect North Slopes, Operations Manager Jonathan Davis said business is up 10 times compared to last Wednesday. "We’re thrilled to have a snow day especially in March," he said.

And throughout Hamilton County, all parks were open Wedneday with sled riding permitted at designated hills at the parks, said Kimberly Whitton, a spokesperson for the Hamilton County Park District. No park lakes are safe skating or ice fishing, though.
