CINCINNATI - It’s been six days straight with afternoon highs in the 90s, or greater. The extreme heat will continue for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
The Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories have now been extended until 8 p.m. Saturday. That means that this heat wave will have lasted for 10 days, before it’s over!
Be sure to stay cool and hydrated. If you’re not feeling so well, find some shade or go inside, into the air conditioning.
Some of the signs of heat exhaustion include heavy sweating, weakness, cold skin, pale, clammy, weak pulls, fainting and vomiting. For a complete list of symptoms visit http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/heatlinks.php .
Long term weather models are forecasting a break in the heat. It looks like next week, we might see the return of the 80s. The heat has got to break eventually!
