CINCINNATI - Winter weather is littered throughout Thursday and Friday's forecasts.
9 On Your Side is calling for a winter Wind Advisory for the entire Tri-State. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the following counties: Fayette and Union counties in Indiana; Butler, Warren and Clinton counties in Ohio.
With this information in mind, the City of Cincinnati has released information regarding its winter operations.
Operational Status:
Crews are monitoring road conditions and weather forecasts throughout the day as rain continues to fall and temperatures remain above freezing.
Heavy daytime rain is preventing crews from applying any effective pretreatment to City roadways.
Crews will begin treating roadways once conditions allow, and will continue through the overnight hours.
Making roadways as safe as possible for the morning commute is a primary concern.
What Citizens Should Expect:
Drivers should continue to be alert when driving overnight and early tomorrow, as hazardous driving conditions are likely.
Citizens will need to share the road with large salt trucks tonight. Please give operators the extra distance they need to perform their job safely!
You can follow the city's alerts about winter weather at its twitter account: www.twitter.com / cincinnatisnow
