Tri-State transportation officials recommend a variety of quick steps to keep you safe and to keep your vehicle running correctly in cold and snowy weather.

A few of those tips include:

  • Keeping your gas tank 3/4 full to prevent your fuel line from freezing and to make sure you have enough gasoline in case you are stuck in traffic longer than usual.
  • Never use your cruise control in winter weather conditions.
  • Be visible and use your low beam headlights. Foggy and snowy conditions can make it difficult for others to see your vehicle.
