Pensive, thoughtful, reflective...I'll leave that to the professionals!
Starting today my blog is becoming a daily, perhaps rambling, attempt to keep you informed on weather and the aspects of life that I find interesting.
I'm feeling that my weekly (or weakly) blogs are not the way to keep a transient audience happy. So, each day I'll give you some behind the scenes insight to my thoughts about the forecast. At those times where the weather is all too bland, I'll comment on a random assortment of topics.
For instance, I've got very good news if you're traveling for the holiday week. Travel Wednesday, Turkey Day and even Black Friday all look dry and mostly seasonal. However, at this time of year, it's all too common to see a cold front slow down and come in a day late. We'll see heavy rain on Tuesday so let's hope this time that's not the case. I will say this...leaving later on Wednesday is better than earlier with the weather. Regardless, I'm an XL and prefer the color red when you head out Friday!
XL is the only way to describe my time as Burgermeister for the Germania Society. This weekend the annual Christkndlmarkt took place and what a terrific time. Everything is indoors and the area was transformed into a holiday gift wonderland. I also learned something this weekend too. If you're a history buff, check out the tradition of St Martin's Day . Plus, the lamb shank was delicious and the Spaten Dunkel was my pairing of choice.
Make sure you go this wonderful time next year!
