Thursday's traffic delays

Below is a list of reported traffic incidents in the Tri-State area:

Interstate 75 in Ohio: Slow traffic-- SB from Galbraith Rd. to Paddock Rd.

Interstate 71 in Ohio: Accident causing issues-- SB I-71 just north of I-275. Traffic slow for miles.

Slow traffic-- SB from Mason-Montgomery to Norwood Lateral.

Interstate 71/75 in Ky.: Heavy Fog: Limited visibility because of fog in Boone County.

Slow traffic-- NB from I-275 to river.

Interstate 74 in Ohio/Ind.: No reported accidents

Interstate 275 in Ohio: Slow traffic-- NB near Loveland to I-275.

Interstate 275 in Ky.: No reported accidents

Interstate 471: Slow traffic-- NB from Ky-8 to river.

Columbia Parkway: No reported accidents

Other roadways: Temporary Closing of Madison Road Today--Floodgate training to create short closure

The United States Army Corps of Engineers has completed testing of the floodgate on Madison Road between Ibsen Avenue and Steel Place, near the railroad tracks. However, the Corps will close the gate one last time in order to train Metropolitan Sewer District staff how to operate it.

The Corps expects the closure to last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.

During the training, traffic on Madison will detour around the gate. During the closure, motorists will take the following detours:

Eastbound: From Madison, go north on Ridge, then east on Highland Avenue. Traffic will then travel south on Kennedy Avenue, then east on Duck Creek Road. From Duck Creek, drivers can access Madison. Road by driving south on either Oaklawn or the Red Bank Expressway.

Westbound: From Madison, use either Red Bank Expressway or Oaklawn to travel north to Duck Creek. Travel west on Duck Creek, then north on Kennedy and west on Highland. From Highland, cars can rejoin Madison by driving south on Ridge.
