Monday's traffic delays

Below is a list of reported traffic incidents in the Tri-State area:

Interstate 75 in Ohio: Slow traffic-- SB from Ronald Reagan to South of Norwood Lateral.

Interstate 71 in Ohio: No reported accidents

Interstate 71/75 in Ky.: Slow traffic-- NB from I-275 to Covington.

Interstate 74 in Ohio/ Ind.: No reported accidents

Interstate 275 in Ohio: No reported accidents

Interstate 275 in Ky.: Slow traffic-- WB near Kellogg Ave. to I-471.

Interstate 471: No reported accidents

Columbia Parkway: No reported accidents

Other traffic information:

Road closure downtown-- As part of improvements to the private utilities owned by Duke Energy, Mehring Way will be closed between Central Avenue and Gest Street/ W Pete Rose Way to complete work on a critical distribution conduit below the street.

This closure will be put in place on August 6, 2012 at 9 a.m. and will remain in place until approximately August 24, 2012. A marked detour will direct motorists around the closure site. Metro bus service will be detoured around the area.

Road closure-- Starting this morning crews will begin grinding and paving operations on Montana Avenue between Craig Avenue and Baltimore Avenue.

The new configuration will have one lane in each direction, and a turn lane in the center. Right turn lanes will be installed on Montana Avenue at the Westwood Northern Boulevard intersection. Street parking will be eliminated within the limits of the project.

Road now open-- Hamilton Eaton Road (aka, Seven Mile Avenue) in St. Clair Township is now open. However, work on the stream embankment restoration project just north of New Miami will continue through mid-August.
