Other traffic information: Covington, Ky.-- Campaign and other temporary advertising signage illegally placed on state highway rights of way will be removed to maintain safety.

According to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials, signs show up along state highways in greater numbers in the month prior to an election.

Rob Hans, chief district engineer for KYTC District 6 said, “This time of year especially, we see a lot of signs placed along state right of way. Political signs and other advertising signs can block the view of drivers at intersections as they watch for oncoming traffic.”
