SYCAMORE TWP, Ohio - The man killed in an early Thursday morning crash on a ramp from NB I-71 to EB I-275 has been identified.

Police say 22-year-old Ryan Melton, of Milford, lost control of his vehicle, sliding off the ramp and crashing into a sewer utility pole at about 4 a.m. Melton was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The ramp reopened after the crash caused it to close for more than four hours Thursday morning.

Officials reopened the roadway at about 8:15 a.m.

Authorities are working to determine what caused the crash, including routine toxicology tests to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved. Melton was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.
