HEBRON, Ky. - A mudslide has caused a Northern Kentucky roadway to close to traffic through the week.
A landslide at KY 8 at KY 20/Petersburg Road in Boone County closed the roadways Tuesday morning. Several trees fell into the road as well.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Public Information Officer Nancy Wood announced Tuesday morning that KY 20 will be closed to through traffic in between KY 8 and KY 212 (Airport Connector) through the end of the week because of the active landslide.
The closure will remain in place so that crews can clean up debris and for precautionary measures, Wood said in a news release. Motorists should seek an alternate route during the closure.
