CINCINNATI - Southbound Interstate 75 has reopened from the Norwood Lateral or Ohio 562 after a semi-tractor trailer overturned Wednesday evening.
The crash happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the 6 mile marker. The semi-tractor trailer was carrying scrap metal, officials told 9 On Your Side.
Traffic was backed up for several miles Wednesday as the Ohio Department of Transportation worked to reopen the roadway during the early morning hours Thursday. It was eventually reopened at approximately 9:30 a.m.
No injuries have been reported in the accident and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Traffic was diverted off the highway onto Mitchell Avenue, and officials have also shut down westbound Ohio 562, or the Norwood Lateral, to southbound I-75 to help divert traffic away from the accident scene.
