Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati provides a supportive “home away from home” for families and their children, who are receiving medical treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center or other area hospitals, regardless of their ability to pay.

What does Ronald McDonald House offer guest families?
The Ronald McDonald House offers families a comfortable place to sleep, home-cooked meals, shared living areas, laundry facilities, WiFi internet access, indoor and outdoor play areas, exercise room, arts & crafts room, game room, on-site teacher, various activities such as performances, movies, therapy dogs, free haircuts, massages and ongoing support from staff, volunteers and other families.

Whom does Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House serve?
The Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House is the third largest of 302 Houses worldwide with 78 bedrooms. This allows the House to care for 78 families (on average, 235 individuals) every day, who are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis. No family is ever turned away based on inability to contribute to the cost of their stay. Most often, it’s parents and siblings who live at the House, though caregivers also include grandparents, aunts/ uncles and other family members. It is also common for critically ill children undergoing outpatient treatment to live with their parents at the House until they are well enough to return home.

How can You Help the Ronald McDonald House?
More than 400 volunteers serve as the backbone of Ronald McDonald House. Volunteers provide all of the necessary guest services that make the House a "home away from home" for more than 1,000 families each year.
