CINCINNATI - The Madeira Mustangs rolled to their sixth straight victory by knocking off the Indian Hill Braves 42-0 in this week’s 9 On Your Sidelines matchup.
Madeira (6-1, 4-0) picked up their 15th straight CHL win dating back to last year and for the second week in a row won 42-0. They dominated the game on both sides of the ball in this one and totally shutdown Indian Hill (0-7, 0-4) from the outset.
Maderia opened up a 14-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. Quarterback Zack Jansen connected with his top receiver Grant Hopewell on a long scoring pass in the second quarter to give the visitors a 21-0 halftime advantage.
That would be more than enough as the Mustangs’ defense, which has propelled them on their winning streak as they’ve allowed just 41 points in four conference games, would put the clamps down on the Braves all night long.
Madeira heads to Deer Park next Friday night for a final tune-up before a pair of games that will decide the league title as they finish the season with matchups versus Taylor and Wyoming. Indian Hill will look to snap their losing streak as they travel to Finneytown.
