CINCINNATI - No rain was going to stop the CHCA Eagles Homecoming parade as they beat the North College Hill Trojans in convincing fashion in this week's 9 On Your Sidelines Matchup , 31-12.
The win secured a Region 16 playoff berth and gave CHCA (9-1, 6-1) a first-round matchup at undefeated Batavia (10-0) next Friday night according to JoeEitel.com.
It was North College Hill (6-4, 5-2) that put the first points on the scoreboard as Tevin Brown busted off a 65-yard touchdown run on the game’s first series. It was the senior’s 20th score of the season. The Eagles’ defense held Brown to 35 yards and out of the end zone the rest of the evening. Brown finished the season with 1,718 yards, 4,007 for his career and 54 total touchdowns.

CHCA snapped a three-game losing streak to North College Hill. Nick Weaver wasn’t about to go down in what would be his last game Richard E. and Robert D. Lindner Field. The senior returned a punt for a score, caught one of two Conner Osborne touchdown tosses while racking up over 100 all-purpose yards. Classmate Adam Chappelle led the Eagles with five receptions for 95 yards with one scoring catch and had an interception and 0.5 sacks on defense. Cameron Murray had eight touches and accounted for 110 yards of total offense.
The Trojans downfall was four turnovers and their inability to complete passes on crucial downs, going just 5-of-18 for 50 yards on the night through the air. The 12 points that CHCA gave up was the tied for the second most that they have allowed in a game this fall. The Eagles gave up 20 in the opener and just 41 in the nine tilts after that.
