WCPO-TV has partnered with TriStateFootball.com to present the High School Football Player of the Week.

Each week 12-14 nominees will be selected from a large list of some of the area’s top performances and will be included in an online voting poll to determine a winner. The voting opens on Monday and ends each Friday morning at 9 a.m.

Voting is limited to one vote per day, per IP address. Networks may share a single IP, so please be aware of that while casting your vote. Once a player wins once, they will be ineligible to be nominated a second time.

All of the season winners will be recognized and receive a plaque at the TriStateFootball.com Year in Review shows in January.

Here are this week’s nominations:

Drew Barker, Conner: Threw two of his three touchdown passes and ran for the deciding score in the fourth quarter of the Cougars win at Scott.

Blake Bir, CovCath: Passed 252 yards on 15-of-25 passing and had three passing TD's setting a new single-season mark for the school.

Pat DiSalvio, McNicholas: Was 6-6 on extra points with field goals of 40 and 25 yards vs. Purcell Marian. He set the school record for kicking points eclipsing former Rockets great and now Cincinnati Bengals punter, Kevin Huber.
