Walnut Hills senior Mark Hermann was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 8, picking up 667 votes (25.05 percent).
The Eagles’ defensive backs earned his nomination by coming up with two fumble recoveries and an interception in his team’s inspired Senior Night victory over Loveland.
Campbell County’s Jake Zabonick and Jordan Harris of Glen Este finished second and third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com . In total, 12 players were nominated with 2,663 votes casted.
Voting will open on Monday morning for Week 9’s nominations.
