Eichler voted Tri-State high school football Player of the Week

Lakota East junior Eric Eichler was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 11, picking up 984 votes (24 percent).

The Thunderhawks’ quarterback earned his nomination by registered 180 yards and three touchdowns passing and rushing for another 57 yards and a TD on the ground in Lakota East’s first-ever playoff win in school history as they knocked off Springboro in a thrilling overtime win.

CovCath’s Ethan Egbers and Dylan Wiesman finished second and third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com . In total, 12 players were nominated with 4,080 votes casted.

Voting will open on Monday morning for Week 12’s nominations. It will be the final week of the campaign for the 2012 season.
