Tri-State high school football Ohio DII-DIII rankings: Week 7

There are no changes in our top nine this week in our Ohio DII-DIII Rankings as everyone took care of business in Week 6.

Anderson is the lone newcomer to the rankings as the Redskins won their third straight game, knocking off Loveland and jumping atop the ECC conference standings. It took the Redskins a while to get here after dropping their first three to Division I teams, who are a combined 16-2 on the season.

The big shake up these rankings may still be ahead as teams just on the outside look to get hot in October as they play for their playoff lives.

Here are the latest TriStateFootball.com Ohio DII-III Rankings:

1. Turpin (6-0, 3-0)
How they fared: The Spartans have no trouble out manning Hughes, 47-19.
Looking Ahead: The biggest challenge of the season awaits Turpin as they face top rival, Anderson.

2. Alter (5-0, 3-0)
How they fared: Alter got it done on both ends of the field with 49-6 win over Badin.
Looking Ahead: McNicholas is going to present challenges that Alter hasn’t faced in their first three GCL games.

2. Trotwood-Madison (4-2, 1-0)
How they fared: The Rams’ defense has pitched back-to-back shutouts as they stopped Piqua, 35-0.
Looking Ahead: Greenville is next in line to fall prey to the T-Mad defense.

4. Northwest (6-0, 3-0)
How they fared: They had no problems a winless Talawanda team, winning 42-7 on Homecoming night.
Looking Ahead: A big game versus Edgewood will test the Knights’ strength along their lines.

5. Winton Woods (5-1)
How they fared: Week after week the Warriors continue to beat quality foes and Jonathan Alder is the latest victim.
Looking Ahead: A trip to Loveland is going to be a bruising affair and a key game in their playoff hopes.

6. Mount Healthy (6-0, 3-0)
How they fared: They put forth a great team effort to defeat Ross to pick up their 10th consecutive win.
Looking Ahead: A road game at red hot Harrison on natural grass could give Mount Healthy a headache.

7. Franklin (5-1, 2-0)
How they fared: The Wildcats’ defense held a third straight foe to six points in win over Madison.
Looking Ahead: Valley View is up next as Franklin returns home Friday.

8. Edgewood (5-1, 2-1)
How they fared: Edgewood had few problems with Little Miami in a 53-26 victory.
Looking Ahead: The Cougars will face the most athletic team they have seen all year at Northwest.

9. Western Brown (6-0, 2-0)
How they fared: Goshen was no match for the Broncos’ offense as they erupted for a 56-33 win.
Looking Ahead: They’ve scored at least 41 points in each game and should break the mark again vs. Clermont Northeastern.

10. Anderson (3-3, 2-0)
How they fared: A great come-from-behind effort as they knocked off Loveland to get into our Top 10.
Looking Ahead: The battle for East side supremacy as Turpin heads to Brown Stadium.
