The Dallas Cryboys!

By Cory Williams

Let’s face it, The Minnesota Vikings dismantled the Dallas Cowboys in every facet of the game and as time wound down in the fourth quarter the Cowboys truly let their lack of mental toughness show.

With the Vikings leading 27-3 and 1:55 left in the game the Vikings Brett Favre, on fourth down, completed an 11 yard pass to Visanthe Shiancoe for a touchdown and a 34-3 lead. The score caused Dallas linebacker Keith Brooking to sprint towards the Minnesota sideline and give Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress an earful about what he later called a “classless” score.

What was “classless” was the way Brooking handled the situation. This is the NFL Keith, not pee wee football. If you don’t like the fact that the Vikings keep scoring, STOP THEM! I don’t care if the score was 64-3, this is the NFL Playoffs, if you can’t hang, you deserve to get run out of the building. The Vikings, Saints, Colts, and Jets are playing for a chance to go to the Super Bowl and they have earned the right to do whatever they deem necessary to better themselves for a championship.

Grow up Keith! Point the finger where it belongs, at yourself and your teammates. The question surrounding the Cowboys under Wade Phillips has been whether or not they have the toughness to compete for a Championship, and once again the team demonstrates that they are more concerned with getting their feelings hurt than taking part in a professional football playoff game.

What happened to the “Don’t mess with Texas” attitude? I guess the once proud Cowboys have resorted to handing out trophies to everyone who plays the game.
In grade school the “If you had fun, you won” attitude was great to a point, but in the real world life isn’t fair and it’s time to be a big boy Keith.
