Many stories this year included scandal. Others showcased historic accomplishments. The top story was an overwhelming favorite, winning the top vote of 80% of our voters.
And the NFL continues to lead sports in America. Of our 10 stories, 4 of them are from the dominant sports league.

9. Manny Wasn’t Manny for 50 Games –
MLB suspended Los Angeles Dodger slugger Manny Ramirez for violating the league’s steroids policy. Ramirez didn’t actually take steroids. He tested positive for a drug used to mask steroid use.
Ramirez is the highest-profile player to be suspended by the league. He lost $7 million of his $25 million salary. As his suspension ended, Ramirez went on rehab stints in the minor leagues, selling out ballparks.
