Forward Alden Hirschfeld and defenseman Will Weber were both called up to the AHL recently.
Weber was recalled by Springfield on Nov. 12, and Hirschfeld was added to the Providence roster two days later.
Hirschfeld scored his first AHL goal to open the scoring in a 3-2 shootout win for the Bruins on Nov. 24 off a feed from former Capitals second round draft pick Chris Bourque.
AHL: Portland forward Andy Miele recorded four assists in a 6-5 win over Springfield on Nov. 23.
Miele picked up three primary power-play helpers over a 2:48 span in the second period to help the Pirates erase a 4-1 deficit, and he set up Oliver Ekman-Larsson for the game-winning goal 19 seconds into overtime.
Wilkes-Barre goalie Jeff Zatkoff has won four straight games, and has allowed one goal or less in each game during that stretch.
Zatkoff shut out Hershey on Nov. 21, and he has stopped 93 of 96 shots (.969) during his winning streak.
ECHL: Evansville forward Trent Vogelhuber picked up two points – including a shorthanded goal – in a 3-2 loss to Trenton on Nov. 23.
Of the 32 skaters that have dressed for the IceMen this season, Vogelhuber leads the entire field in plus-minus with a plus-3 rating.
CHL: After scoring four goals in two games, forward Gary Steffes currently leads Tulsa in goals and points.
Steffes recorded a hat trick – netting a goal in each period – in the Oilers’ 6-5 loss to Bloomington on Nov. 23, and he scored to give Tulsa a 2-0 lead the next night at Quad City in a 4-3 loss to the Mallards.
OHL: Oshawa forward Tyler Biggs has recorded a goal and assist in three straight games, and has netted five goals in his last five games.
Biggs scored twice, including the first goal of the game in a 5-1 win over Belleville on Nov. 16, earned an empty-netter in a 4-2 win over Ottawa on Nov. 23, recorded the game-winner in a 3-1 victory over Niagara on Nov. 25 and scored the first goal in a 3-2 win at Peterborough on Nov. 27.
Europe: Forward Derek Edwardson registered 12 points in eight games for Cortina of Itlay’s top-tier Serie A league.
Edwardson racked up a goal and two assists against Val Pusteria on Nov. 17, and he notched a goal and assist vs. Alleghe and Asiago on Nov. 24 and Nov. 27.
