CINCINNATI - ESPN is reporting multiple sources are telling them that Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer wants out of Cinicnnati via trade or retirement.

He wants out bad enough, writer Chris Mortenson says, that Palmer is willing to retire if the Bengals will not trade him. Mortenson says that Palmer is telling people that he's financially secure and if he can't get out of Cincinnati by trade, he's willing to walk away.

Mortenson also quotes a Bengals official as saying "No comment".

It is expected that the Bengals will have a significantly different roster compared to this past year when the team went 4-12, giving them the 4th pick in the upcoming draft. As of right now, the Bengals have Carson's brother, Jordan Palmer and Dan LeFevour as backup quarterbacks. Neither has seen any significant NFL playing time.
