CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Reds have designated two home games later this season as allergy-free dates to accommodate fans with nut allergies in certain sections.
Only fans with nut allergies and their families will be allowed in the riverboat deck at Great American Ball Park on July 17 and Aug. 5 for games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Pittsburgh Pirates, respectively. The first game is on a Tuesday, and the second date is a Sunday.
Only 175 tickets are available for the allergy-sensitive section for each game. Tickets are $25 apiece.
Several other Major League Baseball teams have reserved sections for fans who have food allergies.
