BEREA, Ohio - The NFL's rookies have been warned all week about not making mistakes in their personal lives. For Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon, it's more about not making another one.

Blackmon was arrested earlier this month on a drunk driving charge in Stillwater, Okla. The first-round draft pick has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence and his next court date is July 24, three days before Jacksonville opens training camp.

Blackmon said Friday that the incident is over, the Jaguars are behind him and "that's all that really matters to me."

This week, the league's rookies have heard stories from former players, who have cautioned them about protecting their finances and acting responsibly.

Detroit defensive tackle Nick Fairley attended a Play 60 event for kids, one day after pleading not guilty on charges that include drunken driving following his arrest last month in Alabama.
